Scope for research
 
QRESEARCH is being used to undertake high quality observation research, generate and test hypotheses and provide support to the planning of clinical research. Our main interest is in supporting non commercial research which will help improve patient care.

QRESEARCH is particularly suited to the following types of analyses :
 
A. Epidemiological and Health Services Research
  • Incidence, prevalence, survival & causes of disease
  • Modeling results of clinical trials in the general population
C. Research into medications
  • Evaluation of safety & effectiveness of new and commonly used drugs
  • Detection of rare side effects
B. Research into health inequalities
  • Measuring and monitoring health inequalities by age, sex, deprivation and geographical area
  • Impact of inequalities on clinical outcomes for patients
D. Health Services Research
  • Health service planning and disease projections
  • Primary research to inform development & evaluation of national guidelines.
